Christopher J. Ely, known simply as Chris, has a passion for great stories and characters.  An enthusiast of science fiction, horror, fantasy, and comics in all their forms, he has read thousands of books, committed to memory hundreds of movies, and written original stories.

 Upon graduating high school, he attended the University of Connecticut earning a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies majoring in Literary Studies.  Shortly thereafter, he wrote his first novel and several short stories which have been safely locked away for the last 15 years.

​

 A devoted family man, he put his pursuits on hold while supporting his wife’s dream of opening her own business and providing care for their special needs child.  Through all these experiences, his passion for books, compelling storylines, and character development provided him joy when life was difficult, wisdom when life was confused, and direction to a new path.  Now, he is unlocking the door to his original novel and short stories, designing new worlds and characters for future books and sharing with you everything he loves from books, movies, comic books, superheroes, humor, hero clix, role playing games, and maybe even fatherhood in his new blog, LettersFromTheWormHole.
